Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using resistora.com, our API, or our MCP server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
Description of Service
Resistora provides resistor combination search, E-series matching, voltage divider design, and circuit-resistance calculation tools, accessible through a web application, a REST API, and an MCP server. Features are available on FREE and PRO plans with different limits, as described in our API documentation.
Engineering Accuracy Disclaimer
Results produced by Resistora are provided for reference and design assistance only. Resistora does not verify real-world component availability, tolerance stack-up for your specific application, thermal or power derating, or the overall safety of any circuit you build. You are solely responsible for independently verifying calculated values — especially tolerance, voltage, and power ratings — before using them in any safety-critical, high-voltage, or production circuit.
Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and any API tokens confidential, and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use of your account or API tokens.
Plans and Pricing
Resistora offers FREE and PRO plans with different feature limits; see our API documentation for specifics. The PRO plan is currently offered at no charge. This may change in the future, and we will provide reasonable notice before introducing any charge for the PRO plan.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to circumvent daily quota or rate limits, scrape the service at volumes that degrade it for other users, reverse-engineer the API beyond its documented use, or otherwise use Resistora for any unlawful purpose.
API and MCP Access
Programmatic access through the API or MCP server is subject to the rate limits published in our API documentation. Access that is abused or that places undue load on the service may be throttled or revoked at our discretion.
Intellectual Property
The Resistora name, the resistora.com site, and the underlying software are owned by Resistora's operator. Calculation results you generate using the service are yours to use freely.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Resistora and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of calculated results, including without limitation damage to components or circuits.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice, at our discretion.
Governing Law

Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after a change is posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
